The Chalet Klaudia lies on the WILDI area on the old mule path that, before, linked  Saas Fee to the Saas Valley.
Before the first road was built, the chalet was located right at the entrance of the village. The chalet built in 1767, is the last antique building owning to the historical "Old Saas Fee." It is part of an historical area with 3 "mazots", kind of tiny chalets used before for cattle and hay. Its meticulous restoration started in 2004 and ended in 2007.  It preserves the authentical charm with antique wood, stoves and traditionnal old style of  Walliser Alps.

All year round the WILDI area enjoys a great time of sun in the daytime (square T5 on Saas Fee map). Kids have a small playground to play within the view of both the Allalin glaciers and the Saas Valley. The car park is 5 minutes by foot and the center of the village is 10 min. The walk to the skilifts is 15 minutes but you can also use a small bus for which the bus stop is at 50 meters. A heated ski room, where you can leave your skis overnight, is available (for free) at the foot of the slopes and skilifts.
